Wind farm guidelines

The Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), supported by an independent scientific panel of experts from government, the private sector and universities with expertise in Brolga biology, ecology and ecological modelling, has developed the Interim Guidelines for the Assessment, Avoidance, Mitigation and Offsetting of Potential Wind Farm Impacts on the Victorian Brolga Population 2011, Revision 1 February 2012. pdf

The purpose of these guidelines is to provide a performance based approach for wind farm proponents and decision makers in the siting, design and layout of wind farms to avoid, minimise and mitigate the potential impacts of wind farms on Brolgas.
